![]() I've learned a great deal from every one of Professor Wood's books. In 2010, he received the National Humanities Medal from President Barack Obama. His book entitled, The Creation of the American Republic, 1776 to 1787, won the Bancroft Prize in American History. Many of them have been award-winning books. ![]() He has also been a professor at Cambridge University in Great Britain. ![]() ![]() He has taught history at Harvard University, the College of William & Mary, and Brown University. Professor Wood graduated with his PhD from Harvard University, and since then, has enjoyed a prolific career in academia. His books have been national bestsellers, but more importantly than that, they have had a decisive impact upon American intellectual life. He won the Pulitzer Prize for his book, The Radicalism of the American Revolution. Gordon Wood is a renowned scholar of American history.
